Orville Davis was born May 7, 1923, in Missouri and Ester O. (Estrada) Davis was born October 3, 1927 in California. They began serving as missionaries in Rosarito, Mexico in 1956. They were approved as Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries in 1967. They established four churches during their 24 years of faithful service. 

They were killed July 15, 1980, when their car was struck by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign. They were survived by their six children: Frankie, Renia, Romania, Fran, Treva and Nancy.
