Cliff Goodwin was born in Nashville, Tennessee, August 18, 1941. He was saved at the age of 12 during a revival meeting. He married Linda Joyce Hailey, February 9, 1962. Linda was saved after they had married and the Lord had given them four children. After moving to Dickson, Tennessee, where they attended a Fellowship church, they began to grow in the Lord. As the church held mission conferences, they began to meet many missionaries and they surrendered their lives for full time service.
Cliff and Linda graduated from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, in 1980. They served their internship at the Crane Bible Baptist Church, Crane, Missouri, while they were in school. They were approved to go as missionaries to Ireland in 1980. Cliff had a very successful ministry in a very difficult field. In April of 1993, Bro. Goodwin had returned to Ireland from furlough and Linda had stayed in the states awaiting the arrival of a new grandbaby.
On April 8, 1993, Cliff suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Linda was unable to return to Ireland before he died. Cliff was 52 years of age. He was survived by his wife, Linda, and four children: Clifford Scott, Jeffrey Brian, Jennifer Kaye, and Lori Anne.
