Doug
was killed when his Piper Tri-Pacer plane, which he was piloting,
crashed and burned.
He and
his wife were approved as BBF missionaries in 1958 and arrived in
Alaska in March, 1959. They had already been serving as independent
missionaries in Alaska prior to their approval. He served 15 months
in the U.S. Navy.
He was survived
by his wife, Juanalee, and five children: Errot, William, Phillip,
Vicie, and a one year old baby daughter.
